CUPS Communication Dashboard

The CUPS communication dashboard captures the statistics involved when the CPN communicates with the UPN to enrich the UPN with RAN and Network Slice attributes. Refer CPN UPN Communication for Support of RAN and Network Slice Attributes topic for the list of supported RAN and Network Slice attributes.

To view the CUPS Communication Dashboard:

1. In the GigaVUE‑FM, click the Dashboard icon.

2. Click Dashboards listed below ANALYTICS.

3. Click CUPS Communication link.

UPN Engine Outage

When the UPN GigaSMART engine goes down, an alarm is raised and displayed in the CUPS Communication dashboard with Cluster ID, Engine ID of theGigaSMART engine and the Timestamp of the engine outage.

Single Engine:

When you have zero values for all the KPIs in the CUPS Communication Dashboard, it indicates that the UPN GigaSMART engine is down and you can find the Cluster ID and the Engine ID of that UPN GigaSMART engine in the UPN Engine Outage visualization.

Engine Grouping:

The same statistics is replicated in all the UPN GigaSMART engines that are part of the GigaSMART engine group. In the CUPS Communication Dashboard, the GigaVUE‑FM displays only the statistics of the first UPN GigaSMART engine of the engine group. When you have zero values for all the KPIs in the CUPS Communication Dashboard, it indicates that the first UPN GigaSMART engine is down and you can find the Cluster ID and the Engine ID of that UPN GigaSMART engine in the UPN Engine Outage visualization.

Packets Statistics

In the Packets Statistics, you need to select the Site , CPN Alias and the UPN Alias to view the CPN UPN communication statistics of a specific site.

CPN Tx Packets - Total number of packets transmitted from CPN to UPN.

UPN Rx Packets - Total number of packets received at UPN from CPN.

UPN Tx Packets - Total number of packets transmitted from UPN to CPN.

CPN Rx Packets - Total number of packets received at CPN from UPN.

CPN Tx Bits - Total number of bits transmitted from CPN to UPN.

UPN Rx Bits - Total number of bits received at UPN from CPN.

UPN Tx Bits - Total number of bits transmitted from UPN to CPN.

CPN Rx Bits - Total number of bits received at CPN from UPN.

CPN Packets Drop - Total number of packets dropped at CPN.

UPN Packets Drop - Total number of packets dropped at UPN.

GPFCP Statistics

In the GPFCP Statistics, you need to select the Site , CPN Alias and the UPN Alias to view the statistics of a specific site.

CPN GPFCP Session Lookup Fail - Counter to indicate the number of sessions not found for Enrichment update or Enrichment Pull at the CPN.

UPN GPFCP Session Lookup Fail - Counter to indicate the number of sessions not found for Enrichment update or Enrichment Pull at the UPN.

CPN GPFCP Ack Missing - If the Acknowledgement is missing for a Enrichment update, regenerate Enrichment update is accounted in this counter.

Enrichment Statistics

In the Enrichment Statistics, you need to select the Site , CPN Alias and the UPN Alias to view the statistics of a specific site.

CPN Tx Enrichment Update - Number of Enrichment messages transmitted from CPN to the UPN.

UPN Rx Enrichment Update - Number of Enrichment messages received at UPN from CPN.

UPN Tx Enrichment Response Accept - Number of Acknowledgement messages transmitted from the UPN to the CPN for a Enrichment Update stating that the update is accepted.

CPN RX Enrichment Response Accept - Number of Acknowledgement messages received at CPN from UPN for a Enrichment Update stating the update is accepted.

UPN Tx Enrichment Response Reject - Number of Acknowledgement messages transmitted from the UPN to the CPN for a Enrichment Update stating that the update is rejected.

CPN Rx Enrichment Response Reject - Number of Acknowledgement messages received at CPN from the UPN for a Enrichment Update stating that the update is rejected.

UPN Tx Enrichment Pull Request - When the UPN is trying to get the RAN and Network Slice attributes from the CPN.

CPN Rx Enrichment Pull Request - When the CPN receives the pull request from the UPN for the RAN and Network Slice attributes.

UPN Tx Enrichment Pull Request Retry - When the CPN is not responding to the Enrichment Pull Request from UPN, it sends the UPN Tx Enrichment Pull Request Retry message. The maximum number of retries that can be attempted is three.

CPN Enrichment Retry - When the CPN is retrying to enrich the UPN for a REJECTED acknowledgement from UPN.
