Upgrading PLDs

Use the pld CLI command to upgrade programmable logic devices (PLDs) on GigaVUE-HCT nodes. These devices include Complex programmable Logic Device (CPLDs). The following components have an CPLD:

■

HCT-C02 module (main board)

■

BPS-HC1-D25A60 module

■

BPS-HC1-D35C60 module

■

PRT-HC1-G12 module

Note:  The Legacy modules PRT-HC1-Q04X08, SMT-HC1-S, PRT-HC1-X12, BPS-HC1-D25A24, and TAP-HC1-G10040 cards do not support PLD Upgrade.

CPLD images are bundled with the software image and upgraded with the software image upgrade; however, the pld command provides the ability to upgrade each CPLD individually.

After a PLD upgrade, the node requires a power cycle.

Issue the show pld command to display the PLDs that need to be upgraded, then only upgrade those. Refer to the following examples for GigaVUE-HCT:
