Overview of GigaVUE V Series Applications

GigaVUE V Series Node is a virtual machine that runs in the customer's infrastructure.

A GigaVUE V Series Node:

• Processes and distributes network traffic.

• Plays the same role as an HC Series appliance in a physical deployment

• Runs many of the same GigaSMART applications and feeds data to tools similarly.

• Resides in a virtual environment and tunnels inbound and outbound traffic due to the absence of physical device ports.

GigaVUE V Series Applications run on GigaVUE V Series Nodes. All these applications use a volume-based license. For details, refer to Base Bundles.

You can use these applications to optimize the traffic sent from your instances to the monitoring tools.
