AWS Key Pair
When configuring GigaVUE-FM and GigaVUE fabric components in AWS, you need to specify the defined key pair. A key pair, consisting of a public key and a private key, is a set of security credentials that you use to prove your identity when connecting to an Amazon EC2 instance.
When you define the specifications for the UCT-V Controllers, GigaVUE V Series Nodes, and GigaVUE V Series Proxy in your VPC, you must create a key pair and specify the name of this key pair.
Important considerations
- The key pair is crucial for securely accessing your Gigamon instances in AWS.
- Keep the private key file safe, as it is required to connect to the instances.
- You cannot recover a key pair. If lost, you need to create a new key pair.
- Key pairs are region-specific in AWS.
To create a key pair in AWS, refer to the Create a key pair for your Amazon EC2 instance section in AWS Documentation.
