Proxy Server Profile Limitations

The following are limitations while configuring Proxy Server Profile:

Access to only HTTP proxy servers are supported.

■

This feature is not available on Gen 2 devices.

■

This feature is compatible only with IPv4 proxy servers.

■

Other GigaSMART applications, such as HSM or Application Intelligence, that utilize the GigaSMART engine port will not adhere to proxy settings.

■

Migration of proxy servers from the device to GigaVUE‑FM is not supported if the device is running version 6.8.xx.

■

For Resilient Inline Arrangement, the proxy server option will only be displayed when both devices are running version 6.9.xx or higher.

Upgrade Considerations

If a device upgrades from version 6.8.xx to 6.9.xx and has a proxy profile with an alias that already exists in GigaVUE‑FM but with different configuration, an error will occur. The user will need to manually edit the configurations as necessary.

If you upgraded your device from GigaVUE‑OS version 6.8.xx to 6.9.xx, the Proxy Server profiles configured through GigaVUE-OS CLI will be migrated to GigaVUE‑FM. However, you will need to reconfigure your password in GigaVUE‑FM if you intend to use this proxy server profile in a new solution. Any existing solutions will be migrated successfully along with the password.
