Removing the Control Card

The GigaVUE-HC3 control card is located in the rear of the chassis behind the fan tray. It is field replaceable. Since there is only one control card and it is internal, the node must be powered down. Hot swapping is not possible.

To remove the control card:

  1. If the node is powered on, log in to the serial console port on the node and power it down gracefully with the reload halt command.
  2. Power down the node by unplugging the power cable.
  3. Remove the fan tray as described in Removing a Fan Tray. The control card is located behind the fan tray as shown in Figure 1 Control Card Location.
