Troubleshooting
The Troubleshooting dashboard helps diagnose and resolve network performance issues by providing insights into traffic sources and destinations, applications, latencies, and packet drops.
Troubleshooting Insights for Network traffic
These visualizations provide valuable insights into the latency introduced at various layers, enabling the identification of bottlenecks and the implementation of corrective measures.
Visualizations |
Overview |
---|---|
Slow performing Applications |
Displays communication between clients and servers and their corresponding HTTP response times, helping to identify applications with slower performance. |
Top 10 worst performing Servers |
Displays servers having high server response time (>2 seconds). |
Server Latency |
Displays the server response time (in seconds) for all active applications. Sort the table by latency to quickly identify applications experiencing higher delays. |
Network Latency |
Displays the TCP round-trip time (in seconds) between endpoints of an application. Sort the table by TCP RTT to identify applications experiencing higher latency. |
Lost Data |
Displays the endpoints of applications experiencing connectivity issues. |
Average DNS Response time on the network |
Displays the average time taken between sending a DNS query and receiving the corresponding response. |
You can use the above visualizations to troubleshoot the following scenarios:
Identify latency sources: Determine whether the delay is occurring on the network or the server side.
Measure network delay vs. server delay: Analyze the delta between network latency and server latency.
Detect worst-performing servers: Pinpoint which servers contribute the most to latency.
Assess application latency impact: Identify which applications experience network or server delays.
Report on TCP round-trip time: Diagnose latency between the user and the network.
Analyze application round-trip time: Determine how much delay is introduced by application servers.
Top Traffic Sources and Destinations
These visualizations aid in identifying active endpoints and applications, helping assess unauthorized network usage and ensuring compliance with network security policies.
