Manage Licenses for GigaVUE Nodes

To view all the licenses assigned to a GigaVUE node:

  1. From the device view, select Settings > Config and Licenses from the navigation pane.
  2. Click Licenses.

You can view the list of licenses. GigaVUE TA Series device licenses may be one of the following:

  • Advanced Features Licenses start with ADV
  • Ports licenses start with PRT

For all licenses, the Expiration Date column has the word Never to indicate that there is no expiration date. Evaluation licenses are currently not available for GigaVUE TA Series.

To view the serial numbers:

  1. From the device view, select System > Chassis from the navigation pane.
  2. Click Table View.

The serial number is displayed in the Serial Number column under Properties.

To install licenses:

  1. From the device view, select Settings > Config and Licenses > Licenses from the navigation pane.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Add Licenses page, enter the license key in the License1 field and select the Box ID of the chassis to which to apply the license.
  4. Use the +/- option to add additional licenses.
  5. Click Install to install the license.

For standalone nodes, the Box ID of the selected node will be available.

For clusters you must select the required Box ID from the drop-down. Use the +/- option to add licenses for other Box IDs.
