Install GigaVUE‑FM using ISO Image File on VMware ESXi Host
You can install GigaVUE-FM on VMware ESXi host using the ISO image file. Follow the steps given below to install GigaVUE-FM using ISO image on ESXi host:
- Log in to the VMware ESXi host web interface.
- Upload the ISO image to the data store. Refer to Upload Files to Datastores section in the VMware Documentation for detailed information.
- After uploading the ISO image file, right-click a host in the VMware Host Client inventory and select Create/Register VM. The New Virtual Machine wizard opens.
- In the Select creation type tab, select Create a new virtual machine. Then, click Next.
- In the Select a name and guest OS tab,
- Enter a name for the virtual machine.
- Select the Guest OS family as Linux.
- Select the Guest OS version as Rocky Linux 8.8 (64-bit).
- Then, click Next.
- In the Customize settings tab, enter the CPU, Memory and Hard disk details. Refer to Minimum Requirements for more detailed information on minimum requirements required to install GigaVUE-FM.
- Click on Add Hard disk button to add two virtual disks to this VM. Each virtual disk must have a capacity of at least 40 GiB.
- Select a Network Adapter.
- In the CD/DVD Drive, select Datastore ISO file and the CD/DVD Media select the ISO image uploaded in Step 2. Ensure that the Connect check box for both Network Adopter and CD/DVD Drive is enabled.
- Then, click Next.
- Click Finish. Then, power on the virtual machine for the image to boot up.
- When the operation is complete, you have successfully deployed a GigaVUE‑FM instance.
Note: If you install GigaVUE-FM on ESXi version 8 host, change the boot option from EFI (default boot option) to BIOS before the first power on, as GigaVUE-FM supports only BIOS boot option.
