User Groups
The User Groups configured in GigaVUE‑FM helps to associate the users with tags and roles. A user group consists of a set of roles and set of tags associated with a group. When a user is created they can be associated with one or more user groups.
The User Groups page lists the user groups available in GigaVUE‑FM. The following user groups are available by default in GigaVUE‑FM:
- Super Admin Group: Users belonging to this group have access to all the resources in the system, and the users can perform any operation on the resources.
- Admin Group: The admin user can perform all GigaVUE-FM operations except adding or modifying users, configuring AAA settings, adding certificates in the trust store, and adding an external data server. Users cannot create, modify, or delete the resources with GigaVUE‑FM security management permission.
- User Group: Users belonging to this group have read access to all resources in the system. The users can view the resources, but will not be able to modify the resources.
You can create custom user groups in addition to the default user groups in GigaVUE‑FM. Refer to the Create Roles for more details to associate a role to a user.
