PRT-HC3-X24 Module

The PRT-HC3-X24 module provides a total 240Gb/600Gb of connectivity with line rate on-board switching across twenty-four 10Gb/25Gb SFP+, SFP28, and SFP+ Copper ports. Refer to 1 PRT-HC3-X24 Module.

When four PRT-HC3-X24 modules are installed in the node, the GigaVUE‑HC3 provides ninety-six 10Gb ports.

Note:  The PRT-HC3-X24 module does not support 1Gb.

All ports in the PRT-HC3-X24 module can be used as network, tool, inline or hybrid ports. Moreover, the 25Gb and 10Gb ports can be used as stack-link ports.

Starting in software version 5.4, SFP28 transceivers support 25Gb.

Note:  To support 25Gb functionality, the GigaVUE‑HC3 node must be equipped with Control Card version 2 (CCv2).

Keep in mind the following notes and rules when using the PRT-HC3-X24 module:

Transceivers	For details about the supported transceiver, cable type, and connectivity specifications, refer to “GigaVUE-OS Compatibility and Interoperability Matrix”.
Maximum PRT-HC3-X24 Modules Per Chassis	The maximum number of PRT-HC3-X24 modules per chassis is four. Each module can support up to twenty-four 10Gb/25Gb ports, for a total of 96.
Inline Ports	The ports on the PRT-HC3-X24 module can be configured as inline network or inline tool ports, supporting logical bypass at 10Gb speed. Starting from software version 6.4, Inline ports support logical bypass at 25Gb speed. For details about the supported inline ports, refer to “GigaVUE-OS Compatibility and Interoperability Matrix”.
