GigaVUE‑HC3 Extension Board
The GigaVUE‑HC3 extension board is installed in the front of the chassis, providing the Mgmt and console ports for network and administrative access. It is an extension of the main board or control card.
The extension board also provides status LEDs and other ports, such as stack ports for cluster management. For further details about the extension board, refer to 1 GigaVUE‑HC3 Extension Board. The status LEDs on the extension board are described in Table 2: Extension Board Ports and LEDs.

Description |
CON Port |
— |
Configure the GigaVUE‑HC3 locally over a serial terminal connection (RJ-45 console port). |
MGMT Port |
— |
Configure the GigaVUE‑HC3 remotely over a SSH connection (RJ-45 management port, 10/100/1000BASE-T). |
PTP Port |
— |
In GigaVUE‑HC3 Control Card Version 1 (CCv1), the PTP port is used a eth1. In GigaVUE‑HC3 Control Card Version 2 (CCv2), the PTP port is reserved for future use. |
STACK Ports (3) |
— |
Use to connect to other nodes for cluster management. Note: The cluster management stack port link will be displayed as “up” in the output of the show interfaces command, even after the cable was disconnected. View the link on/off LED on the front panel of the node to check the state of the cluster management stack port link. |
