Floating

The Floating page displays the license details of floating licenses. This page has the following three tabs:

• Activated: The Activated tab displays the list of active floating licenses. You can activate, deactivate, and replace licenses from this page. To activate a license, refer to the Activate Floating Licenses section in the Gigamon License Portal page.

Note:  The License Type and Activation ID fields are displayed by default in the Activated page. To display the Entitlement ID field, click on the column setting configuration option to enable the Entitlement ID field.

• Deactivated: The Deactivated tab displays the list of deactivated licenses. The License Type, Activation ID, and Entitlement ID fields are not by default displayed in the Deactivated page. To display these fields, click on the column setting configuration option and enable these fields.
• Missing : The Missing tab displays the list of GigaVUE‑OS and GigaVUE‑OS module licenses that are missing or not installed on a particular chassis or card.

Note:  Floating licenses display the license type field. Node-locked licenses also display the license type field (Type), only if the license is imported through the GigaVUE-FM GUI. If a node-locked license is imported through CLI, then it must be re-imported through GigaVUE-FM (the license key must be saved in a .key file which is then imported), so that the node-locked license is visible on the floating activations page.
