Completing the Initial GigaVUE^® HC series Setup

We have completed the following:

• Logged in to the GigaVUE‑OS command-line interface using the admin account.

• Configured the Mgmt port’s network properties for SSH access.

• Explored the command-line interface structure.

You can perform a few more steps you should perform to complete the initial configuration before you get to the fun stuff – setting up network ports, tool ports, and mapping traffic.

Tasks to perform:

Switch to the Configure mode. Refer to Enter the Configure Command-Line Mode.

Configure SSH access to the node. Refer to SSH.

Configure the GigaVUE® HC series time and date options. Refer to Configuring GigaVUE® HC series Time Options.

Configure automatic email notifications for node events. Refer to Configuring Automatic Email Notifications.

■

Configure a custom login banner. Refer to Using a Custom Banner.

■

Save your changes!. Refer to Saving Changes.
