Required Command-Line Mode = Configure

Use the threshold command to configure port-packet drop settings globally for all the ports in a device or for a given port type. The threshold command has the following syntax:

threshold rx/tx drop/error <global | circuit | hybrid | inline-net | inline-tool | network | stack | tool | gs> count/percent value <value>

The following table describes the arguments for the threshold command:

rx

Configures threshold parameters for rx direction.

tx

Configures threshold parameters for tx direction.

drop

Configures the drop threshold parameters.

error

Configures the error threshold parameters.
global | circuit | hybrid | inline-net | inline-tool | network | stack | tool | gs

Configures threshold parameters as follows:

  • global - global threshold value (applicable for all port types)
  • circuit - for circuit ports
  • hybrid - for hybrid ports
  • inline-net - for inline network ports
  • inline-tool - for inline tool ports
  • network - for network ports
  • stack - for stack ports
  • tool - for tool ports
  • gs - for GigaSMART ports
count <value>

Configures threshold count. Value must be greater than zero.

percent <value> Configures threshold percent. Allowable range is 0-100. Percentage value can be configured as low as 0.0001%
