Upgrading PLDs

Use the pld CLI command to perform an upgrade of programmable logic devices (PLDs) on GigaVUE‑HC1-Plus nodes. These devices include field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). The following components have an FPGA:

■   HC1P-C04X08 module ( main board)
■   BPS-HC1-D25A60 module
■   BPS-HC1-D35C60 module
■   SMT-HC1A-R module

Note:  The Legacy modules PRT-Q04X08, SMT-HC1-S, cards does not support PLD Upgrade.

FPGA images are bundled with the software image and upgraded with the software image upgrade, however, the pld command provides the ability to upgrade each FPGA individually.

After a PLD upgrade, the node requires a hard reboot.

Issue the show pld command to display the PLDs that need to be upgraded, then only upgrade those. Refer to the following example for GigaVUE‑HC1-Plus:

HC1P-local (config) # sh pld
