The GigaVUE‑HC1-Plus has two bays for replaceable modules. The following modules are available for the GigaVUE‑HC1-Plus:

Generation 3 GigaSMART module, (SMT-HC1-S), gives 80Gb throughput. |
Modules are hot-swappable and can be installed in any of the available front bays in a GigaVUE‑HC1-Plus node. However, refer to Module Removal and Replacement Procedure (Hot Removal) for instructions – you must follow a specific procedure when removing modules to preserve node stability
Note: The protected links will remain down after performing a shutdown and no shutdown on the BPS-HC1-D25A24 module, as well as during module Online Insertion and Removal (OIR) on the GigaVUE‑HC1-Plus chassis. Reloading the chassis will help to restore the link.
