Configure MPLS Header Stripping

Before you configure MPLS header stripping, refer to MPLS Header Stripping – Rules and Notes.

The following table summarizes the required tasks to configure MPLS Header stripping to strip the incoming MPLS packets:

Keep in mind the following details when you configure a map:

Ensure that you select the network or hybrid port on which you enabled MPLS header stripping as the source leader in a bidirectional clock relationship (formerly master) port of the map.
Configure the map rules with the following parameters:
o L2 parameters such as EtherType, MAC Destination, MAC Source, VLAN, or Inner VLAN.
o MPLS payload parameters such as IP Version, IPv4 Destination, IPv4 Source, IPv6 Destination, IPv6 Source, Protocol, UDA1, or UDA2.
