Power Adapter Specifications

G-TAP A Series 2 uses external AC-DC desktop power adapters that provides 1+1 redundancy . The power adapters are operational for the normal working of chassis and if one of the adapters fails, the other adapter provides the required power to system. One power supply fail , will not cause an interruption on the expected performance of the chassis. The shipment package will include only one adapter, please order beforehand to receive the redundant adapter.

Battery Specification

G-TAP A Series 2 offers backup battery up-to one hour to continue normal operation after an external power failure. For G-TAP A-TX21 if the battery shuts down before the external power can recover, the network ports will be bypassed by mechanical relays, all other ports including tool ports, will be shut down.

Note:   Battery back-up power is guaranteed for at least forty-five minutes in G-TAP A-TX21. For G-TAP A-SF21 the battery back-up power will depend on the type of optic cables used.
