Configure VXLAN Header Stripping

Before you configure VXLAN header stripping, refer to VXLAN Header Stripping – Rules and Notes.

The following table summarizes the required tasks to configure VXLAN Header stripping to strip the incoming VXLAN packets:

Configure a new map.

Keep in mind the following details when you configure a map:

Ensure that you select the network or hybrid port on which you enabled VXLAN header stripping as the source port of the map.
Ensure that you do not select any rule that includes the qualifying attributes of the VXLAN header because such rules override the traffic intelligence capability.

Create a New Map

5.

View the VXLAN and destination IP statistics to know the number of packets transmitted for a VXLAN ID and a destination IP address, and the transmitted bytes per packet.
