PRT-HC3-X24 Module
The PRT-HC3-X24 module provides a total 240Gb/600Gb of connectivity with line rate on-board switching across twenty-four 10Gb/25Gb SFP+, SFP28, and SFP+ Copper ports. Refer to Figure 1 PRT-HC3-X24 Module.
When four PRT-HC3-X24 modules are installed in the node, the GigaVUE-HC3 provides ninety-six 10Gb ports.
Note: The PRT-HC3-X24 module does not support 1Gb.
All ports in the PRT-HC3-X24 module can be used as network, tool, or hybrid ports. Moreover, the 10Gb ports can be used as stack-link ports.
Starting in software version 5.4, SFP28 transceivers support 25Gb.
Note: To support 25Gb functionality, the GigaVUE-HC3 node must be equipped with Control Card version 2 (CCv2).

Maximum PRT-HC3-X24 Modules Per Chassis |
The maximum number of PRT-HC3-X24 modules per chassis is four. Each module can support up to twenty-four 10Gb/25Gb ports, for a total of 96. |
Inline Ports |
The ports on the PRT-HC3-X24 module can be configured as inline network or inline tool ports, supporting logical bypass. For details about the supported inline ports, refer to “GigaVUE-OS Compatibility and Interoperability Matrix”. |
